Terms + Conditions

Bookings

All confirmed bookings via email or phone are invoiced after the booking is completed and must be paid within 30 days. In the event of a cancellation, clients must give 24 hours notice, After this the full fee will be invoiced.

Travel Costs

Mileage is charged at £0.45 per mile from OL2 6SQ, this applies to all bookings. Any extras (e.g parking) will also be billed to the client.

Bridal/ Special occasion Bookings

Clients are advised to follow the terms and conditions set out below. By reading and understanding these terms and conditions, completing the booking form and paying your deposit you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by these conditions.

To avoid disappointment it is recommended that the booking is made as soon as you know the date you would like to book for (up to two years before the event). After filling in all the relevant information on the booking form and speaking to Sophie to confirm your booking, an invoice will be sent to your email address were you will find all the information regarding your quote and transfer details for your deposit. After payments are made, your invoice will be updated and re sent to you to show the remaining balance.

Saturday weddings require a minimum of three people for hair and makeup and four people for hair or makeup on its own, due to Saturdays being the busiest day for larger bridal parties.

Deposits and final payment

An immediate deposit of £50 is required in order to secure the brides booking of both the trial and the wedding day - This is fully redeemable from the final balance.

For all extra people added to the wedding day booking a £20 advance payment must also be made to secure their booking, this is fully redeemable from the final balance and is non refundable upon cancellation.

Payment for your trial is required on the day of your trial and full payment for your wedding day must be paid 3 weeks prior to your wedding.

For all other occasion bookings (non bridal, parties etc), a £20 deposit is required.

Booking fees are non refundable upon cancellation. (see cancellations)

A cooling off period of 7 days applies to the deposit. In the event that you need to cancel you must do so by email within 7 days from when Sophie receives the booking deposit, then a full refund of the deposit will be given.

Trials

Once your deposit is paid and your date is secured, a date can then be discussed for your trial. Trials must be booked no later than 1 month before the wedding date and can not be carried out on weekends. At your trial day please allow up to 3 hours for hair and makeup and 2 hours for makeup or hair only. After your trial, payment is collected by either bank transfer or the correct cash.

Sophie reserves the right to cancel a clients wedding day booking following the makeup trial without a refund of the deposit or trial payment, only in circumstances were the client is uncooperative, rude or makes Sophie feel uncomfortable. In such circumstances Sophie will contact the client within 24 hours either by phone or email.

Cancellations

If a cancellation is made, up to or within 30 days, the client will incur the cost of the deposit and any trials carried out before the wedding day. Due to the nature of the business it is unlikely that the date will be filled with another wedding in this time, because of this 70% of the remaining fee will be payable.

Wedding date changes

Sophie will try her best to accommodate any date/ time changes you may have. Sometimes with Sophie’s busy schedule this may not always be possible. If this does happen and Sophie cannot accommodate due to another booking then it will be classed as a cancellation and the above cancellation terms will apply.

Illness or Incident

In the unlikely event that Sophie is not able to carry out your wedding she will try her best to get cover. All notes and photos from your trial will be passed on to you and a 100% refund will be given.

Expenses

If Sophie incurs any further expenses such as parking at the venue, all costs have to be covered by the client.

Client Obligations

The client agrees to inform Sophie of any allergies, reactions or sensitivities prior to or after any makeup application(s). If no known allergies/reactions/sensitivities are stated then Sophie cannot be liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damages, costs, claims that may occur to the client(s).

The client understands and agrees that if after booking, any changes to the amount of people booked in for the day, their deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The client(s) accepts and understands that if they agree to have their before/after photo taken that Sophie reserves the right to use any such image on social media and also on Sophie’s website for promotional purposes.
